About the Artist
A path shaped by pigment and sacred surfaces.
Berlin, 2007 —

The Sistine Experience
During the restoration of the Sistine Chapel, Ramirez observed Michelangelo's ceiling from a hoist.

200 kg · 2.5 m — a disc prepared by hand.
Seven years as a fresco painter rooted his practice in the physical behavior of light and how images live on walls.
His work is informed by the aesthetics of Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests and the transcendental films of Andrei Tarkovsky.
